Our founder and hands on director Shagun, is the beating heart of the food design studio

Being from a family of hoteliers she’s been exposed to the highest levels of hospitality from an early age – but it wasn’t long before she was forging her own reputation in the industry.

Shagun draws her inspiration from her time training and working all over the world. She officially trained in hospitality at Switzerland’s renowned Ecole Les Roches, and fine-tuned her culinary skills at Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu.

From there she went on to work at The Zodiac Grill at the Taj Palace, one of the most prestigious restaurants in Mumbai, co-founded the first accredited wine school in India and has personally trained top hotel, airline and restaurant staff on the finer points of food and wine.

Shagun is also now a full-time director at Surya Palace Hotel Vadodara – the flagship property of the Jindal Group of Hotels – having taken the baton from her father. She is also Director of Cuisine at the luxury award winning resort Coco Shambhala.
